Sherman Franklin Foote, Sr., 61, recently from Bainbridge, NY, but a lifelong resident of Downsville NY passed away August 21, 2024, at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich, NY.

Sherman was born November 24, 1962, in Delhi, NY to Franklin and Donna Foote (McAdams).

Throughout his life, Sherman found solace in the little things, from watching game shows like "Wheel of Fortune" and "The Price is Right" and his passion for watching old western movies to spending time in the great outdoors, indulging in his hobbies of hunting and fishing. Sherman was known for his love of gardening and green thumb. For those who knew him he had a style all his own and cherished presence in the lives of his loved ones.

Sherman is survived by his loving family, his son Sherman F. (Brenda) Foote, Jr., of East Branch, NY, a special grandson Joshua Foote of East Branch, NY his sister Dianne (Ron) Palmatier of Bainbridge, NY and nieces and nephew Donna and Jesse Palmatier of Bainbridge, NY, and Stephanie Foote of Downsville NY.

Sherman is predeceased by his parents Frank and Donna Foote, his brother Russell Foote, and his best friend and beloved pet Crystal.

Graveside service will be held at Paige Cemetery in Downsville, NY September 9, 2024 at 11AM with Pastor Christine Lindeberg officiating.

Memorial donations can be made in Sherman's name to Downsville Fire Department located at 15166 State Highway 30, Downsville, NY 13755.
