Shirlon A. "Butch" Bevins Jr., 64, of Stamford, NY, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 26, 2007 in Fox Hospital, Oneonta, NY.

He was born in Delhi, NY on June 12, 1942, the youngest son of the late Shirlon Sr. and Hattie (Pearsol) Bevins. Butch lived with his sister Annabelle and her husband Bill Kilmer for many years and he worked at the ARC workshop for the past 2 ½ years. He was a resident of Robinson Terrace in Stamford where he enjoyed bingo, music programs and joking with the staff.

Butch Bevins is survived by his sister Annabelle (Bill) Kilmer, of Walton. He is predeceased by his sister, Grace Brainerd, and his five brothers; Raymond, Ronald, Etheridge, Linden (Penny) and Glenford.

Friends and family are invited to call on Saturday, March 3, 2007 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM where services will be held at 1:00 PM at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton, NY with Rev. Carl Butler of the Pines Brook Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in the Gilboa Cemetery in the spring.
