Simone F. "Todd" Tartaglia of Walton, New York, passed away Friday, October 22, 2010 in Bassett Healthcare Hospital, Cooperstown, N.Y., after a long struggle with cancer. He was 79.

He was born Nov. 29, 1930, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the youngest of three children of Henry and Rose Morell Tartaglia.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a retired Morristown, N.J., businessman. He lived for many years in Warren County and Morris County New Jersey before retiring to Walton, New York eight years ago.

An avid reader and discussion enthusiast, he regularly attended the Walton Library Book Chats and the Andes Roundtable. He was also a lover of music, particularly chamber music and jazz, and served on the Honest Brook Music Festival Board of Directors.

He is survived by son, Mark,and his wife Susan, of Harmony, N.J.; son Richard, and his wife Tammy, of Phillipsburg, N.J.; a daughter, Kimberlee Kimble of Roseto, Pa.; four grandchildren, Grant Eshback of Atlanta, Ga., Gerard Kimble, Bryan Kimble of Atlanta, Ga.; Gerard and Ashley Kimble of Roseto, Pa.; brother, Henry,and his wife Carolyn, of Parkland, Fl.;brother-in-law Carl Nobile of Belmore NY.;seven nieces and nephews; and longtime friend,Lillie Anderson of Sidney N.Y. A sister, Rosemary Nobile, of Belmore, N.Y., predeceased him two years ago.

Friends are invited to call on the family from 6 to 8PM on Tuesday evening, October 26, 2010 at Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, NY

Funeral services with full Military Honors will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY
