Stanley A. Moore, Sr., 76 of Strawberry Plains, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2007 in the Jefferson City Memorial Hospital, Jefferson City, TN.

Mr. Moore was born in Corbett, the son of the late Ira and Mabel Dean Moore on January 13, 1930. He served his country in the U.S. Army . He was a Truck Driver, employed by Merrill Transport. He was of the protestant faith.

He is survived by 3 sons, Stanley (Sandy) Moore Jr., David Moore and Teri Lyn, both of North Bennington, Vermont; Alan Moore and Margaret Tobin, Pownal, Vt; 2 daughters, Marjorie Moore, Bennington, VT; Virginia and Joseph Houston, Strawberry Plains;. 7 grandchildren, 2 sisters, Elizabeth and Glen Schmidt, Walton; Charlotte Emelius, and Carol Davis, both of Morris; a brother, Raymond and Nancy Moore, Morris. He was predeceased by a brother, Elmer Moore, 2 sisters, Bernice Walley and Beatrice Peck.

Friends and family are invited to call at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton from 6 to 8 PM Sunday evening, January 14, 2007, where services will be held on Monday afternoon at 1 PM. Burial will be in Walton Cemetery.
