Obituary

Stanton W. "Stub" Hogan, 91 of Walton, passed away Thursday evening, November 20, 2008 in the Delaware Valley Hospital, after a long illness.

Stub was born in Bushnellville, NY on August 11, 1917 the son of the late Roscoe and Phoebe (Whitney) Hogan. On October 28, 1940 he married the former Helen R Hammond in Oneonta. She died in December 1996. He was employed by GLF/Agway Feed Store, and the Walton Theatre for many years. He was a member of the Delhi Bird Club, Otego Sno-Goers and many golf and bowling leagues over the years. In his spare time he enjoyed blue birds and building blue bird houses which he placed all over the Walton area. He also enjoyed his afternoon coffee with his buddies at TA's Place.

Stub is survived by one son, Walter "Dennis" (Rosetta) Hogan of Mt Marion, NY one daughter, Karen H. Feltman of Walton; grandchildren, Garry S Hendrickson, Cyndi Gridley, Stephen J Hendrickson, Gary and Jacquelynn Brooks, Terry Hogan (Howard) Cox; Lisa Hogan (William) Miller ; Great Grandchildren, Mackenzie And Collin Hendrickson, Katelynn And David Brooks; Faith Cox; Sierra, Dylan And Gilbert Hartrum; Wyatt Miller; two Brother- In-laws, Gordon Rosa of Margaretville, NY; James (Judy) Hammond, Denver, NY; sister-in-law, Janet Hammond German of Denver, NY; several nieces, nephews and cousins, His Best Buddy And Friend, His Dog, "Shadow"

Stub was predeceased by his wife, Helen Ruth Hammond, Sister, Helen Ann Hogan Dwyer, and son-in-law, Walter Feltman

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Tuesday, November 25, 2008 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the First United Methodist Church, Walton where services will be held at 1 PM with the Rev. Mark Del Giudice, officiating. Interment will follow in Walton Cemetery.
