Stella M. Lincourt, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, at the age of 97. She was born on June 18, 1928, in Fly Creek, NY, to her parents Stanley and Jenny (Bice) Ubner. Stella lived a vibrant and full life, leaving behind a legacy of love and joy for her family and friends.

She grew up on a large dairy farm in the Fly Creek valley, attended a one-room schoolhouse and graduated from Utica School of Business. Stella's passions filled her days with happiness. She enjoyed square dancing and snowmobiling, crocheting and doing embroidery, spending hours working in her beautiful flower beds, and could often be found curled up with a captivating mystery novel. Stella worked as a proofreader for the Reporter for many years. Her warm laughter and kind spirit will be greatly missed.

Stella is survived by her loving family, her daughters; Elizabeth (Brian) Davis of Laurens, NY, and Linda Eskow of Hamden, NY, her son Richard (Elaine) Lincourt of New Hampshire, her grandsons Brian (Beth) Lincourt of Vermont and Nathan (Sara) Davis of Cobleskill, her sister in-law Karen Ubner of Fly Creek, NY, great grandchildren; Robert, Richard and Tessa, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Stella was predeceased by her beloved husband Harold Lincourt, her parents Stanley and Jenny Ubner, her brother William Ubner, and son-in-law Gerald Eskow.

Graveside services will be held privately at the Walton Cemetery.
