Stephen Benedetto, 58, beloved son of Louis and Irene Benedetto passed away Friday, July 31, 2009 in the Lourdes Hospital, Binghamton, after a long illness.

Stephen was born in Brooklyn, NY, on October 4, 1950 the son of Louis and Irene (Deletto) Benedetto.

Stephen is survived by his loving family, his mother, Irene Benedetto, two sisters: Livia Benedetto of Westchester, NY, Karen (John) Fitzgerald of Long Island, NY two brothers, Jeffrey (Dean) Benedetto of San Francisco, California; Mark (Rosemarie) Benedetto of Walton, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Louis, in 1990.

Stephen, who played drums in many bands, had a love of music.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 AM on Monday, August 3, 2009 at St John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 17 Benton Ave, Walton, with the Rev. Matthew H. Frisoni, officiating. Interment will follow in Walton Cemetery, Walton.
