Susan Jane "Sue" Gransbury, 53, of East St., Walton, passed away suddenly on Tuesday afternoon, April 15, 2008 at her home.

She was born in Walton on February 10, 1955 the daughter of Harvey Gransbury Jr. and Betty (Finch) Gransbury.

Mrs. Gransbury was a lifelong area resident who attended Delaware Academy in Delhi. She was currently employed as a manager of The Dollar Store in Walton.

Sue was a vibrant person with a good sense of humor, she enjoyed playing bingo, taking pictures, playing solitaire on the computer, arranging flowers, knitting and growing plants.

Besides her father, she was predeceased by a nephew Matthew David Gransbury in 1989.

Mrs. Gransbury is survived by three children: Jennifer Dougherty of Walton, Michael (Lori) Davidson of Crofton, Md and Christy (Phil Demott) Coss of Sidney; her mother: Betty Finch Gransbury of Walton; grandchildren, Samantha, Stephanie, Taylor, Jesse, Kira, Samuel, Clarissa, Travis and Casey; Brothers: Randy (Jamie) Gransbury of Walton, Steven (Elaine) Gransbury of Sidney, Bob (Connie) Gransbury of Walton, David Gransbury of Walton, Richard Gransbury of Walton, Harvey "Willie" Gransbury of Walton and Danny Gransbury of Middletown; one sister: Margaret "Peg" (Bennett) Thompson of Mt. Upton; one aunt: Diane Alcott of Davenport; two uncles: Joseph (Margaret) Finch of Davenport and Daniel (Vi) Finch of Winter Springs, FL; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and two cats: Asya and Rayne.

Friends may call on Friday, April 18, 2008 from 11am until 1pm at the Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, where a funeral service will be held at 1pm on Friday with the Rev. Bert More, officiating. Burial will take place at Masonville Cemetery, Masonville.
