Obituary

Gerline Scofield, 75, of Walton was called Home peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday, May 29, 2016, following an extended illness.

Geri was born on August 7, 1940 in Walton the daughter of the late Arthur and Ethel Baker Prentice. She was a graduate of Walton High School. On October 17, 1958 she married Richard Scofield Sr.

Geri was employed by Eureka Tents and Awnings, Walton Agway, Delaware County Probation Dept. as a secretary, and Delaware County Board of Elections at the bus garage from many years. Geri enjoyed playing her organ, listening to music, sewing, gardening, canning, baking, playing cards with the girls, watching NASCAR and her pets, Puddles and Lucky. Her greatest enjoyment was when her family gathered during the holidays and spent time together.

She is survived by her children, Richard Jr. (Barbara) Scofield, Cindy (Dan) Buteau, Laurie (Fred) Rivenburg, Joe (Cujo) Scofield, Julie (Jim) Scofield, grandchildren, Misty (Jason) Phoenix, Gary (Nicole) Scofield, Cody (Pam) Scofield, Kyle (Alexandria) Hoffman, Brandon (Chrissy) Scofield, Daniel (Emily) Buteau, Adam (Beth) Buteau, Chadwick (Lindsey) Buteau, Everett Rivenburg, Travis (Rebecca) Mettler, Vanessa (Adam) Smith, Crystal (Grizzly) Mettler, Siara (Nate) Mettler, great-grandchildren, Kiara, Deacon, Camron, Clayton, Ashton, Ayden, Carson, Maddison, McKenna, and

Emmit Alexander, several cousins, nieces, nephews, and special friends, Cindy Craft, Priscilla Scofield, Dawn Smith, Lucy Wood, Carol Jenkusky, Janet Prentice, and her special friend and pet "Puddles".

Geri was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Richard Carl Scofield Sr., parents, Ethel and Norman Lockwood, brothers, George "Junior" Prentice, Frank "Mick" Prentice, Bradley Prentice, sister, Illiana "Tina" Fiorovaniti, Brothers and sisters In Law, Bruce Scofield, George "Bill" Scofield Jr., Gary Scofield, Dick Tracy Fiorovaniti, Barbara Mullineaux, Joanne Prentice.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Friday morning, June 3, 2016, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, NY, where services will be held at 1 PM with the Rev. Judy Travis officiating. Burial will follow in Walton Cemetery.
