Thad Daniel MacRabie, 45, of Walton passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 10, 2022 at home from complications of diabetes.

Thad was born on July 1, 1977 in Walton, the son of the late John MacRabie and Robin (Gray) Sprague.

Thad attended BOCES where he studied small engine repairs. He enjoyed color by numbers, going on car rides with his dog, Bear, working on cars, always "tinkering" on something, and helping people with odd jobs. Thad has also attended Riverside Alliance Church and during that time he would volunteer and help out wherever they needed him. Thad loved to joke around, make people smile and help out where he could.

Thad is survived by his loving family, the light of his world his daughter, Kalea Boulanger, step son, Riley Boulanger, brothers, Randy (Mary-joe) MacRabie of Walton, Jaden (Destinie) MacRabie of Norwich, sister, Nicole Merwin of Walton, her son, James Peck, step brother, Jeff (Barbara) Zorn, step sister, Carina Healy. Nephew, John (Myriah) MacRabie, with his children, Espn and Sutton of Walton. His niece Haley MacRabie of Walton, nephew Trever Merwin, with his children, Audree Nicole Merwin, Monty Merwin, Karson Merwin of Walton, NY, step parents Cathy MacRabie of Nebraska and Edward Sprague of Walton, good friend Nick Barnes, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents John MacRabie and Robin Gray-Sprague.

Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday, August 18, 2022 from 11AM to 12:30 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton where Funeral services will be held at 12:30PM with Pastor Bob Wilkie, officiating. Burial will be held privately, at the convenience of the family.
