Obituary

Theron M. "Junior" Howland, Jr., 72, of Walton died Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Albany Medical Center in Albany.

Theron was born October 5, 1944 in Walton, the son of the late Theron M. and Alletta (Ostrander) Howland, Sr. On May 13, 1967 he married the former Pamela Bowker in Walton. Junior and Pam met on a blind date arranged by Jerry Aitken and it was love at first sight.

Theron was a Self Employed Dairy Farmer and Truck Driver before retiring. He was a member of the Aldrich Baptist Church, Farmers Bowling League, Couple's Bowlers, Walton Coop Fire Insurance Board, WAC Nutritional Board, Agway Board, Brush Buster Hunting Club, Darylea Coop, and a lifetime member of the NRA.

Theron is survived by his loving family, his wife, Pam, his children, Mike (Beth) Howland of North Franklin; Paul (Tammy) Howland of East Brook; Tammie (Rodney) Tweedie of Walton; grandchildren, Tracer, Cael, Sierra, Peyton, Noah, sisters, Louise Craig of Unadilla; Alice (Earl) Wilber of Franklin; several brothers, sisters in laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother in law, Steve Craig.

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the New Hope Community Church, 45 Stockton Avenue, Walton at 11 AM with Pastor Pat Judd, and Larry Light, officiating.
