Thomas R. Ammon, 65, of Maryland passed away on February 10, 2013.

Tom was born in Walton on February 18, 1947, the son of the late Harry B and Theresa Coman Ammon.

Tom graduated from Walton Central School in 1965 and from West Virginia University in 1969. He was a dedicated teacher in Maryland and Sidney, NY prior to his retirement.

Tom attended the St. John Neumann Roman Catholic Mission Church in Annapolis and was active in Colonial Players Theaters.

Tom is survived by his brother and sister in law, Dennis and Cindy Ammon of Walton, NY; his sister and brother in law, Dave and Mary Burroughs of Frederick, MD; and several nieces and nephews, including Jill Ammon Ott of Charlotte, NC and Trevor Ammon of Bainbridge, NY; David, John, and Matthew Burroughs of Frederick, MD; Theresa Burroughs Gardner of Frederick, MD; and a large group of close friends, Mickey Lund, Eric Lund, Bob and Fran Marchand all of Annapolis, MD; and many friends in the Walton Sidney, NY area.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Walton Cemetery, 55 Fancher Avenue, Walton.
