Thomas Lorenzo DeMann, Sr., 84, of Sidney formerly of Walton passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Robinson Terrace in Stamford, surrounded by his family.

Tom was born on June 16, 1931 in Rock Rift, the son of the late Thomas Butler and Grace Ellen (Peake) DeMann. On September 8, 1951 he married the former Rebecca Rose Banks. Tom worked for many years at Del-Met as a Set Up Man.

Thomas is survived by his loving family, his wife, Rebecca, his children, Bonnie Brown of FL; Ida "Mickey" (Victor) Fitch of Sidney, NY; Thomas (Fran) DeMann, Jr. of Walton, NY; Anna DeMann of Bainbridge, NY; Rebecca Pearce of Walton, NY; his grandchildren, Robert (Michelle) Brown, Shelly (Jason) Thompson, Raven Hurd, Michael McCall, his great grandchildren, Adrianna, Anthony, Makayla, McKenzie, Christian, Sabastian, Kaitlyn, Duncan, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, his son in laws, Robert Brown, John Pierce and brother in law, William Banks, Sr.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 6 to 8 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, where services will be held Thursday Morning at 11 AM with the Rev. Lisa Ruth Mays, officiating. Burial will follow in Walton Cemetery.
