Thomas W Hodge, Jr, 79 of Walton, passed away Thursday morning, December 29, 2005, at home following a long illness.

Mr. Hodge was born in Jordanville, NY, the son of the late Thomas W and Theophelia V Paparteys Hodge Sr, on September 30, 1926. He served his country in the Army during WW-II. He was a self employed plumbing and heating contractor for many years. Tom was a member of the American Legion, Post 1, and the AARP, He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing.

Tom is survived by one daughter: Jacqueline Burns of Jacksonville, FL, a son, Thomas W. Hodge III of Alabama, 3 grandchildren, Doug, Chalan, and David, 1 great granddaughter, Shelby Lynn, an aunt, Constance Paparteys, Oneonta, special family friend, Joe Fiedler, Walton, and special care giver, Pamela Sargent, Hamden.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on January 4, 2006 at Walton Cemetery, with Allison Bookhout, Catskill Area Hospice Chaplain, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Clark, Winter & Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
