Thomas Kirker, Jr., 80, of Downsville since 1981, fomerly of Wayne, NJ passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Roscoe Community Nursing Home, following a long illness.

Tom was born November 8, 1937 in Kearney, NJ the son of the late Thomas and Willa (Hunt) Kirker, Sr. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. On January 5, 1963 he married the former Carolyne Swayne in Paterson, NJ. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Paterson.

Tom and Carolyne were the owner of Kirkers' Inn in Hawthorne NJ for many years. He enjoyed dealing with antiques, cutting wood, and refinishing furniture.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Carolyne, children, Thomas Kirker, III of Downsville; Kathleen Kirker of Penn Yann; Betsey (James) Baxter of Downsville; grandchildren, Thomas, Cole, Adam, Megan, Ryan, Alyssa, Krista, Nicholas, Justin, and 2 newphews.

Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
