Obituary

It's with peace in our hearts that we announce the passing of Timothy J. Gladstone Sr., 79, who died on Monday June 22, 2026; at the Roscoe Nursing Home where he resided in his final days. Tim was born on April 5, 1947, at Smith's Hospital, and he was a lifelong resident in Walton.

Tim was a truck driver for over 40 years, working for Agway Propane than Suburban Propane respectively.

He enjoyed trapping mink in his youth but continued to hunt deer well into his sixties. He was a member of the Apex Hunting camp in Hancock, NY for decades. Tim was a member of The Club Royale Oasis, serving on the board and in various elected positions. It was common to see him working in the kitchen for the first Saturday Night Steak Dinners. He was also an auxiliary member of the Sons of the American Legion. He loved his Country and proudly demonstrated it by marching with his friends every year in the Veteran's Day Parade. You could also catch him working in the Vet's Club tent during the Delaware County Fair. He enjoyed Coors Light Draft beer and playing pull tabs, having the uncanny luck of winning more often than anybody else. Tim loved listening to Country Music and dancing aa two-step, He was light on his feet despite being such a big man. He had a wonderful dry sense of humor and quirky nicknames for most everyone. Even in his final days he was still delivering humorous one liner's that had people laugh. Tim loved feeding the birds and squirrels at home on Pines Brook; where he resided for more than fifty years. He knew many different species and would spend hours throwing out bird seeds and peanuts.

Tim is survived by his children: Julie K. Gladstone, Jill L. Butler, and Timothy J. Gladstone Jr. (Tammy) all of Walton. His eight grandchildren; Skyler Maggiore, Matthew Maggiore, Brendon Butler, Aubrie Butler, Taylor Gladstone, Kaitin Gladstone, Sarah Gladstone, Joshua Gladstone; and one great-grandson; Owen Homovich.

He was preceded by his father; Frederick Gladstone, his mother; Marjorie Shields Gladstone; and his brother Garry Gladstone Sr.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 11:00am at the Walton Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Vet's Club after the burial.
