Travilla B. "Trudy" Griffin, 93, passed away on Friday afternoon, July 17, 2009 at Delaware Valley Hospital following a long illness.

Mrs. Griffin was born in Walton on January 8, 1916, the daughter of James and Emma Cannon Brainard.

She was married to Leland Griffin who passed away in 1972.

Mrs. Griffin worked at Barb Parker Co. in Hancock for several years, she also helped operate a gas company that she and Leland owned.

She is survived by her son, Joseph Griffin and his wife Joyce of Walton; two grandsons, Joel Griffin and Jody Griffin both of Walton ; three great-grandchildren, Joshua, Jaclyn & Jarett Griffin all of Walton.

Besides her husband, Leland, Mrs. Griffin was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Brainard.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, July 24, at Walton Cemetery, Fancher Ave., Walton with the Rev. Bert More Officiating.

Memorial contributions in Mrs. Griffins name may be made to Catskill Area Hospice, 1 Birchwood Dr., Oneonta, NY
