Victor M. Auletta 88, passed away early Tuesday morning, November 24, 2009 at Countryside Care Center, Delhi, NY; following a long illness.

Victor was born in Hackensack, NJ on February 14, 1921 the son of the late Frank and Concetta DeRiso Auletta. On June 3, 1953 he married the former Rose Epstein. He proudly served his country in the US Army during WW II. Victor was self employed at the Sunoco Service Station in Tenafly, NJ.

Victor loved golfing, swimming in the ocean and watching the New York Giants. He was a good and loving husband, father and grandfather, who always saw the good in people. He had a loyal following of customers who followed him when he moved his business.

Victor is survived by his loving family, his wife, Rose, 2 daughters, Susan Esposito, Walton; Cathy Auletta Falk, Plainsboro, NJ; 1 son, Victor (Mairead) Auletta, East Windsor, NJ; 6 grandchildren, Timothy, Gerri Rose, Victor, Sean, Dan and Will, a brother, Harold (Camille) Auletta, Park Ridge, NJ; life long friend since WW II, Joe Preato, FL, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Al.

Friends and relatives are invited to call at the Barrett Funeral Home, 148 Dean Drive, Tenafly, NJ (201.568.8043), on Friday, November 27, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions in Victor's memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
