Virginia C. Richter, 87 passed away in the Countryside Care Center, Delhi, after a long illness.
Mrs. Richter was born in Salem NY on January 27, 1920 the daughter of the late Robert and Virginia Wayman. On June 6, 1945 she married Rudolph F. Richter. He died on September 9, 2005. She was employed by the New York State Dept. of Taxation and Finance for many years as a keypunch operator. Mrs. Richter loved traveling, sewing and reading books. She was also a fabulous cook.
Mrs Richter is survived by her daughter Dawn and William Seneschal, Walton, a son Julian and Judith Richter, Hillsboro, Oregon, 5 grandchildren, William III, and Gwendolyn Seneschal, Stephan, Katie, and Rebecca Richter, 3 great grand children, Lana, Ethan and Kezia, a sister in law, Millie Wayman, Salem, several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Rudolph, and 2 brothers, John and Robert Wayman.
A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 101 North St., Walton on Saturday, March 10, 2007, at 2 PM with the Rev. Mark Del Giudice, officiating. Burial will take place in Saratoga National Cemetery in the spring.
