Wade D. Armstrong, 19, of DeLancey passed from this life unexpectedly on Thursday afternoon, December 29, 2016 and now is with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Wade was born on July 7, 1997 in Norwich, NY the beloved son of Kim and Catherine (Whiteside) Armstrong.
Wade was a member of the First Baptist Church in Walton where he loved to learn about the Lord. Wade was a graduate of the Class of 2016 from Delaware Academy in Delhi. He was a Life Scout of Boy Scout Troop #33 in Delhi, and was working toward his Eagle Scout. He loved helping others and he was a conservationist, loving being outside. He wanted to live off the grid! He enjoyed running his chain saw, helping his dad cut trees down and chopping firewood. Wade enjoyed running his neighbor's tractor and riding his 4-wheeler at his camp in Walton. He also enjoyed RC cars and playing tank video games.
Wade is survived by his loving family, his parents, Kim and Cathy, grandparents, Adeline Muratore of Walton; Alice Mers of Sebring, FL; and Charles Armstrong of Walton; His loving sister, Kaite (Chris Nixon) Armstrong of Charlotte, NC; aunts and uncles, Thompson Whiteside; John (Dawn) Whiteside, William Whiteside, Norma Armstrong, Sebring, FL and George Whiteside, all of Walton, Chuck and (Jessie) Armstrong of Ilion NY, Tim and Linda Armstrong, Delhi, NY Tracy and Dawn Armstrong, Bainbridge NY, Duane and Judy Armstrong,Walton NY. Wade has a lot of special family, Uncle Mike and Aunt T.T, their sons, David and Jacob, were more like parents and brothers to him. Special aunts, Debbie Domino of Brentwood NY, Debbie Skinner, of Delhi, loved him very much. Cousins who made him feel love include Carolyn Cricket Whiteside and "call 1-800 - Johnny" Whiteside, Kevin and Tab Byam, he enjoyed it when you were around. He leaves many other family and loving friends that loved him. He also leaves his special pet Shiloh, his companion who never left him when he was outside. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Gerard Muratore, just this past August and William Whiteside Sr. Walton NY.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, January 2, 2016 from 5PM to 7PM at the First Baptist Church, 55 Townsend Street, Walton where a celebration of Wade's life will be held at 7PM with the Rev. Jay O'Connor, officiating.
Memorial Contributions in Wade's memory may be made to Delaware County Mental Health Clinic, 1 Hospital Road, Walton, New York 13856,and/or the Walton First Baptist Church, 55 Townsend Street, Walton N.Y 13856.
