Walter S. Sadecki Sr., 89, of Walton passed away early Sunday morning, July 28, 2013 at Roscoe Community Nursing Home, following a short illness.

Walt was born on March 12, 1924 in Goshen,NY. The son of the late John and Kathrine (Kosmider) Sadecki Sr.. He married the former Ruth E. Adams on August 18, 1962. He was employed at the Bendix Corp.,in Sidney for many years.

Walt was a faithful and devoted husband and father who, growing up as a farmer with a love for the outdoors, enjoyed all kinds of fishing and hunting, was proud of his home and enjoyed the challenge of keeping his lawn and garden, stone and weed free.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Sadecki, Roscoe; 4 sons, Walter and MaryAnne Sadecki Jr., Hallstead, PA.; Steven and Terri Sadecki, Evergreen, CO.; Mark and Renee Sadecki, Mechanicsville, MD.; David and Christy Sadecki, Hilton, NY.. Grandchildren include, Casey, Dustin, Dede, Nicole, Victoria, Andrew, and Brianna, one great grandson, Braidon, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Johnny and a sister, Veronica.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Friday morning from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the First United Presbyterian Church, corner of East and North Streets, Walton where services will be held at 1:00, with the Rev. Dr. Lisa Ruth Mays, officiating. Burial will be in Walton cemetery, followed by a reception at the church.
