Warren Peck, Jr. of Walton passed away on Sunday afternoon, September 20, 2015 at his home, surrounded by his family.
Warren was born in Harvard the son of the late Warren and Hazel (Jaycox) Peck. He proudly served his country in the US Army.
Warren married the former Ruth Felter on March 21, 1953 she predeceased him on November 21, 1992. On October 9, 1993 he married the former Kathleen Pierce at the Plymouth Church in Walton.
Warren was a Self Employed building Contractor owning Warren Peck Construction from 1966 to 2000. When he was not busy working he enjoyed hunting, going camping all over, tending to his gardens, feeding the birds and collecting porcelain mice.
Warren will best be remembered as a people person who loved to visit and make people laugh. He enjoyed helping those less fortunate or just someone with a temporary problem with a furnace, plumbing or a building problem. He always knew what he wanted in any project and set out to do his very best.
Warren is survived by his loving family, his wife, Kathleen, his children, Warren "Tim" Peck III of DeLancey, NY; Wayne Peck of Walton, NY; his stepchildren, Gary (Pam) Constable of Walton, NY; James and Debra Constable of Sidney Center, NY; William and Brenda McLaughlin of Sidney Center, NY; Randall and Christina McLaughlin of Sidney Center, NY; Lori McLaughlin of Walton, NY; his grandchildren, Jessica, Jeffery, April, Angela, Sadie, Melissa, Cathy, Darryl, Leanne, Kyle, Roger, Alyssa, his great grandchildren, Adalynn, Landon, Alexis, Daniel, Logan, Caleb, Ceara, Hayden, Devin, Krayain, his sisters, Emma Howland of Lakeside, AZ; Gertrude Loker, Louise Peck, Barbara Northrup all of Walton, NY; his sister in law, Doris Peck, Polly Peck and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his daughter, Alison L. Sullivan, his sisters, Rhoda Russ and Doris Rowell, his brothers, Ivan Peck, Winford E. Peck, Sr. just this past February; and Tom Peck.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 from 6 to 8 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton where services will be held on Wednesday morning at 11 AM with Rev. Dr. Lisa Ruth Mays, officiating. Burial will follow in the Walton Cemetery with full military honors.
