Wayne Norise Coss, 47, passed away, Tuesday, December 30, 2008,

at his home in Walton.

Wayne was born on November 30, 1961 in Delhi, the son of the late Willard and Lillian (Yearry) Coss.

His early years were spent on the family farm in Andes, where he attended and graduated from Andes Central School. His later years were in Walton where he made home among friends at the Creekside Social Club.

He enjoyed bicycling and rode around Walton most every day. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and socializing at community and family gatherings.

He is survived by his mother, Lillian, Massachusetts, five brothers: Willard Coss Jr., Walton, James Coss Andes, Kenny Coss Delhi, Walter (Teresa) Coss Oneonta, Paul Coss Delhi, three sisters, Lorraine Tompkins, Meridale, Dorothy (Dick)Dixson, Massachusetts; Pauline (Bernie) Clement, South Carolina; thirteen nieces, nine nephews, eight grand nieces and four grand nephews, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his father, Willard Coss Sr., in August 2007.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on Thursday afternoon, January 8, 2009 from 3 to 4 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, services will be held at 4:00 pm, with the Rev. Bert More, officiating.
