Willard (Bill) J. Vroman, 82, of Hamden, passed away on Thursday afternoon, February 9, 2017 at Mountainside Residential Care Center in Margaretville, following a long illness.

Bill was born on September 26, 1934 in Altamont, NY; the son of the late Willard and Zelma Vroman. On May 18, 1974 he married the former Edith Nedwidek in Arkville, NY.

Willard was Owner/operator of Countywide Cleaning in Hamden, NY He enjoyed camping, automobiles, tractors, gardening and spending time at his home. .

Bill was one of Jehovah Witnesses. He attended the Hamden congregation where he served as elder. Bill was very active in his worship with Jehovah's Witnesses. He helped in building Kingdom Halls, and he helped to establish the Stamford, NY congregation. He gave public Bible lectures at Kingdom Halls throughout the area. Bill enjoyed the public house-to-house ministry and teaching individuals the Bible.

Bill is survived by his wife, Edith; 7 children, Bonnie O'Connor of Schoharie, NY, Kathy Tellerday of Walton, NY, Barbara Griffin of Delhi, NY, Rick (Kelly) Vroman of Otego, NY; Liz Vroman of Walton, NY; Linda (Dale) Havens of Hamden, NY, Tom (Sherrie) Vroman of Hamden, NY, 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; sisters in law, Joanne Estes of Oliverea, NY; Susan Lattoracca of Kent, WA; Betty Nedwidek of Fleischmanns, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at the Hamden Kingdom Hall, 34906 State Highway 10, Hamden, on March 4, 2017 at 2 PM.
