Willard C. Wacha, 82, of Walton passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown, following a long illness.

Willard was born on July 14, 1931 in Teaneck, New Jersey, the son of the late William and Augusta B. Wacha.

Willard proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy. He worked as a foreman for New Jersey Public Service Electric and Gas. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in both fresh and saltwater.

Willard is survived by his children, Doris Buttel and her husband Daryl Webster of Walton, Russ ( Deb McLaughlin) Wacha of Walton, Doug Wacha of Walton, Steve (Jean) Wacha of Warwick, NY, Chuck (Teri) Wacha of Walton, his grandchildren; Jessica, Howard, Samantha,Troy, Isaac, Jacob, Ashley and Nate; his brothers; Ken Wacha of Florida, Bob, Doug, and Charlie Wacha of New Jersey, his sisters; Bertha of New Hampshire, and Connie of New Jersey and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Walter Wacha.

Services will be held privately, at the convenience of the family, under the direction of Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
