Obituary

William R. Barnhart, 28, of Franklin and formerly of Bovina, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Delaware Valley Hospital in Walton. He was born August 30, 1985 in Oneonta; the son of Richard and Linda Barnhart.

Willie enjoyed long walks and riding horseback. His smile was most noticeable when he was playing childhood games with his many nieces and nephews. Willie had a love for many types of music, but particularly "The New Kids on the Block". Various unexpected loud noises brought joy to Willie's life.

Willie is survived by his mother, Linda Barnhart, his father, Richard and Evelyn Barnhart; brothers, Bryan and Corrine Donohue, Richard Barnhart and his companion Alice Anderson; sisters, Candice Adams, Heather and Eric Button, Lynn Board and Katherine Barnhart; nieces and nephews, Aislyn, Hayvn, Kristine, Cleigh, Adrianna, Chelsea, Brandon, Megan, Lenore and Courtney; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

He is predeceased by his grandparents; Robert and Helen Willig. William's family would like to offer their special gratitude to Josh and Kristi Sowle for taking great care of Willie for the last 6 years. They would also like to thank all of those who have helped him live a wonderful and happy life.

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday May 7, 2014 from 5-7 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend Street, Walton, where services will be held at 7PM.
