William O. Donovan, 75, of Walton formerly of Babylon passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at home, following a long illness.

Bill was born on January 4, 1941 in Huntington, LI the son of the late Lafayette and Lily (Chambers) Donovan. On November 23, 1967 he married the former Lois Chaloupka of Babylon.

Bill worked for Union Local 1292 as a Carpenter in Huntington, LI. He was a member of the Ronkonkoma Rod and Gun Club, and Captree Bowling Leagues and Walton Bowling Leagues. He enjoyed going deep sea fishing, hunting, gardening and working on his home.

Bill is survived by his loving family, his wife, Lois, children, William E, (Annemarie) Donovan of West Islip; Kenneth M. (Sherry) Donovan of Bethlehem, PA; grandsons, Oscar and Michael; sister, Lillie Panaro of Florida; sister in law, Dorothy Chambers of Long Island, and brother in law William (Marcy) Chaloupka; nieces, Cindy and Barbara, nephews, Bobby, Billy, Harry, Eddie, and Donald. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Chambers.

Friends and relatives are invited to call Monday, January 25th from 2 to 4 PM and 5 to 7 PM at the Courtney Funeral Home, 25 Townsend St., Walton, where services will be held at 7 PM with the Rev. Dr. Lisa Ruth Mays, officiating. Burial will be in Nisky Hill Cemetery, Bethlehem, PA
