William D. Wickes, 57 of Shinhopple, passed away Monday, August 29, 2011.

Bill was born on May 7, 1954 in New York City the son of the late William D. and Anne M. (Pugh) Wickes. He was a teacher at Walton Central School.

He is survived by his wife Lisa, brothers, Peter (Marla) Wickes, North Carolina, John Wickes, Long Island; Thomas (Deidre) Wickes, Long Island; Brothers and sisters-in-law; Christine and James Naylor, NY; Theresa and Alan Sweeney, New York; goddaughter, Genevieve McHugh, nieces and nephews, Eileen, Jennifer, Shannon, Dalton, Christopher and Scott; several cousins. He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, James Flogel.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11:00 am on Friday, September 2 at Saint John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 17-25 Benton Avenue, Walton, NY..
