William "Willie" Tennant passed away peacefully on February 29, 2016 at Albany Medical Center from complications related to Parkinson's Disease.

Willie was born on April 29, 1943 to parents Basil H. and Gertrude B. Tennant at the family home in Walton, NY. He graduated from Walton Central School in 1961.

Willie served his country honorably in the United State Air Force in the Philippines after high school. He worked at Custom Electronics in Oneonta, NY. Willie enjoyed sports and many outdoor activities. Participating on several teams when younger including, Oneonta Indians semi pro football team, Milford Macs Baseball team, and several fast and slow pitch softball teams, including the Stockton Avenue Market team. It was at a softball tournament in Andes, NY where he met his wife Barbara I. Kueck-Tennant of 38 years who predeceased him.

Barbara I Kueck- Tennant passed away on January 14, 2015 at Fox Hospital in Oneonta, NY, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Barbara was born in the Bronx, NY on July 5, 1955 to parents Paul and Gerda Kueck. Barbara graduated from the Bronx High School of Science. In 1984 she graduated from SUNY Oneonta with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Economics. In 1987 she became a Certified Public Accountant and worked in Oneonta, NY for over 30 years.

Willie and Barbara were predeceased by brothers Basil and George Tennant. They are survived by their son Thomas Tennant, family pet cat Lilly, Willie's twin sister Mary Mehegan and sisters Gloria Vredenburg, Carolyn Quick, Sally and Dave Frink, Barb and Jim Utter, brothers, Mike and Noreda Tennant, John and Sherry Tennant, Jerry and Rose Tennant, Walter and Cindy Tennant, and Robert Tennant. Sisters in laws, Ruth Tennant and Linda Tennant. Barbara's sister Gabriel and Richard Myers of Miami, FL and Barbara's brother Han and Mirlene Kueck of Seattle, WA, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
