Winnifred M. "Winnie" White, 89, of Walton passed away on Monday, December 23, 2013 at O'Connor Hospital in Delhi, following a short illness.

Winnie was born on September 4, 1924 in Walton the daughter of the late Thomas and Ruby (Naylor) Phoenix. On May 2, 1942 she married Willis White in Walton. He died on June 2, 2007.

Winnie owned the Curiosity Shop in Walton. Winnie enjoyed taking long walks, traveling, knitting, crocheting, and running her shop. But her first priority was her family and she loved them first and foremost. She had a kind spirit who would help anybody and everybody, anytime.

Winnie is survived by her loving family, her children, June (George) Egan of Walton; Nikki White of Walton; and Charlie (Patti) White of Escondido, California; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Beulah (Hussy) of Delhi; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and the many,many friends. She was predeceased by her brothers, James, Earl, Colonel, Thomas and Adam "Rex" Phoenix, her sisters, Katheryn Schultz and Beverly "Peggy" Phoenix.

Services will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
