Obituary

Yaroslaw Zujovic died April 30, 2015 at Otsego Manor in Cooperstown, New York. He was born August 28, 1947 in Cornberg, Germany.

Yaroslaw grew up in Rock Rift, New York until it was taken for the Cannonsville Dam at which time he moved to Loomis Hill. He lived in the Walton area for many years and owned and operated Zujovic Blacktop and Paving. He spent his later years in the Albany/Saratoga Springs area and returned to this area in the past ten years.

Yaroslaw was predeceased by his father, Suljo Zujovic, mother, Anna Bodnar Zujovic, brother-in-law, Wolfgang Collischan and nephew, Frank Collischan. He is survived by his daughters, Nicole (Jamie) Zujovic of Baltimore, MD and Shari (Peter) LoPresti of Churchville, Maryland, sons Anthony (Andrea) VonAldenbruck of Jenson Beach, Florida, and Dennis (Katie) VonAldenbruck of Stuart, Florida; seven grandchildren; three sisters, Irena (Carey) Collischan of Gloucester Point, Virginia, Stefka (Paul) Eaton of Sidney, New York and Helena (Rich) Wildey of Walton, New York ; one brother, Francis (Cathy) Zujovic of Walton, New York and 4 nieces, Katherine (Jeff) Ignatowski, Shane (Jake) Armstrong, Elizabeth (Steve) Ferenzi and Hillary (James) Zujovic and 2 nephews, Michael (Tracy) Collischan and Ryan (Amy) Zujovic.

Yaroslaw loved sports, especially boxing and football. He was a Golden Glove Boxer and the quarterback for Siena College. He was instrumental with the group that formed Walton Booster Club and with many other organizations to benefit the community and children. He had a smile that lit up a room. He was kind and caring and never put himself first. He was a loved father, brother, uncle and friend.

There will be no calling hours and a private family service will held at the convenience of the family.

The family would like to thank those individuals at Otsego Manor that made Yaroslaw smile for their love and care. Thank you to the friends who visited Yaroslaw at the Manor and brought him food, pictures, memories of high school and friendship.
